Here ye! Here ye!!! The baby birds are coming! The baby birds are coming!

Let's celebrate this bursting season with a simple funny treat. Make these in whatever size you'd like! Nests are all different! You could make tiny ones and put them on top of cupcakes, and then you could put those cupcakes on top of a pretty flowering branch on your table. Ohhhh!!! Springtime outside inside!

Bird's Nests

Vegetable oil

3 cups mini marshmallows

3 Tablespoons butter (plus 1 teaspoon for your hands)

4 cups chow mein noodles

12 yogurt-covered almonds or jelly beans

1.    Line a cookie sheet with tin foil. Coat well with vegetable oil. 2. In a saucepan, melt the marshmallows and butter together over medium-low heat. Stir until smooth. 3. Pour marshmallow mixture over noodles in a large mixing bowl, and stir until well coated. 4. Rub butter on your clean hands and form balls out of the noodle mixture. Place on sheet. 5. With the back of a spoon, press the center of each ball to make an indentation. 6. Fill nests with yogurt-covered almonds, chocolate eggs, or jellybeans.

The Biggest Luckiest Clover Cake of Them All!

The Biggest Luckiest Clover Cake of Them All!

Here we are on St. Patrick's Day? Have you found the pot of gold? Have you spotted a leprechaun? A rainbow? Have you had a green beer at least? Did you get pinched for not wearing green? There's still time for all of this green goodness to occur! Have you at least baked a giant Four Leaf Clover Cake? If you have heart shaped cake pans, here's another occasion to use them! if you don't, just bake a sheet cake and cut out four heart-shaped pieces. Frost them green and lay them on a tray, point to point. I tinted some fondant green for the stem, but you could also use a fat green licorice stick or some tinted marzipan. Lucky YOU!

Lucky Horseshoe Cupcakes!

Lucky Horseshoe Cupcakes!

Here comes the leprechaun! More Luck! More Luck! Let's make the little green man some cupcakes, shall we? Let's pipe horseshoe shapes on top with chocolate and maybe stud the horseshoes with little gold dragees. Oh, and let's write little lucky fortunes on scraps of paper and wrap them in tinfoil and bake then inside the cakes! Yeah, let's do that today!!
