Have I made my point that I am really into cake toppers lately? ! In the
unlikely occasion that I have not, here are a few more examples!
I watched a movie and made the boat cake topper above with paper and wooden skewers for a birthday girl. The movie was longer than expected, so I also made fish attachments to transform the cupcakes into big red fish. Then on cake day (game day), I had enough time to make chocolate frosting and vanilla frosting instead of stressing about decorating the cake. I squiggled some blue waves and some gummy fish on top and stuck some chocolate coins around the base. I am so heavy into cake toppers!
I made this stripey-on-the-inside sherbert bombe for a gluten free pal's birthday. While the bombe was freezing, I cut the birthday girl's name and a few stars out of glitter paper and stuck 'em on toothpicks. I spent a good long time searching my kitchen drawers for the rainbow candles I knew I had somewhere. Decorating the actual cake took about 5 minutes and only because I wanted to put raspberries around the base. Cake toppers make things easy!
