I have an ant farm. I think its fascinating to watch these little creatures do their thing. They work so hard! They seem very organized and orderly for the most part. They make me think about how I work. My general style is to work furiously for a bit, hammering on the keyboard or scribbling and drawing on paper, or letting the frosting fly in the kitchen and then I kind of fall down on the ground, panting, for a little bit and then on to more fast and furious working and then more falling down and panting, and on and on. The ants seem more even paced than I do. They sleep hard at night, but then are up when I get up, doing what they do. I like to watch and hear about how other people (and creatures!) work. Some people get everything done in the early hours. Some people are night owls. Some people need a buddy. Some people have to be alone. Start interviewing folks around you to see how they like to get things done. Start watching your dog bury his bone in the yard or start noticing what the bees are doing in the garden. I watched a mommy hummingbird build a nest and then sit on it through the wind and rain one year. She was SO inspiring to me! Maybe you will see something that looks like it might work for you and you can give it a try!
